چکیده
Post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) is an inflammatory and degenerative disease that occurs as a result of the joint structures injury. It common pathology, accounting for approximately 12% all cases (OA). PTOA often in people young productive age, progresses rapidly, causing chronic pain increasing dysfunction. Individuals undergoing replacement are, on average, 10 years younger than those with primary OA. The time interval from moment injury to onset typical radiological signs varies widely – 1 year 15–20 years. The main injuries cause are intra-articular fractures, anterior cruciate ligament injuries, meniscus rupture dislocation patella knee joint, dislocations damage ligamentous apparatus ankle shoulder joints. The pathogenesis determined by inflammation accompanied macrophage activation, hyperproduction cytokines, primarily interleukin (IL) 1â, chemokines growth factors, progressive destruction tissue changes (fibrosis, neoangiogenesis, osteophytosis).Pathogenetic treatment PTOA, which would stop progression disease, has not been developed. possibility using inhibitors IL1â, IL6, tumor necrosis factor á, glucocorticoids, hyaluronic acid, autologous cell based therapy under study. control requires prescription traditional drugs used practice managing patients In particular, use symptomatic delayed-acting agents, such injectable form chondroitin sulfate, seems be appropriate.

Post-Traumatic Osteoarthritis: Biologic Approaches to Treatment
Joint injuries are becoming increasingly common, with young adults between the ages of 1844 seeking medical attention for joint sprains, dislocation, fractures, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscal tears, and others. The cascade of events that follow these joint injuries have been shown to increase the risk of post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) by 2050% (Anderson et al,2011). Therefo...

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a disease of high prevalence that produces substantial morbidity and is a leading cause of physical and psychological disability and expense, including time lost from work, medical care, and disability support. Until recently, the focus of research into the pathophysiology of OA has been on articular cartilage and has not resulted in either biomarkers of OA activity or ef...
متن کاملOsteoarthritis of the Finger Epidemiology and Pathogenesis
There are many good reasons to be interested in osteoarthritis of the hand: 1 It is of central importance to osteoarthritis: osteoarthritis of the hand (osteoarthritis of the finger and of the thumb basal joint) is the most common joint site, and affects up to 60% of the general population between the ages of 65 and 75 years. Genetic factors are key: "heritability", as English speakers call it,...

متن کاملThe genetic contribution to severe post-traumatic osteoarthritis
OBJECTIVE to compare the combined role of genetic variants loci associated with risk of knee or hip osteoarthritis (OA) in post-traumatic (PT) and non-traumatic (NT) cases of clinically severe OA leading to total joint replacement. METHODS A total of 1590 controls, 2168 total knee replacement (TKR) cases (33.2% PT) and 1567 total hip replacement (THR) cases (8.7% PT) from 2 UK cohorts were ge...
